据最新公布的全球最适合居住城市大调查报告说，瑞士的苏黎世仍然是全球最适人类居住城市，而2003年饱受战乱之苦的巴格达被列为全球最不适合居住的城市。加拿大则有三个城市列入最适人类居住的城市前10名之内。

路透社报导说，根据Mercer HumanResources Consulting公司针对全球215个城市生活品质所作的最新调查发现，巴格达列为最不适宜人类居住的原因是安全的顾虑以及基础建设的残破。

报导说，这项评比标准纳入了政治与社会环境、教育水准、运输系统的效率以及休闲设施的品质。瑞士城市苏黎世与日内瓦在这项调查中占据榜首与次席。(ch而加拿大的太平洋沿岸城市温哥华则由去年的第二名降至第三名。被列入前十名的加拿大城市还包括首都渥太华、以及讲法语的蒙特利尔其他入榜的还有瑞士首都伯恩(Bern)、苏黎世和日内瓦。
