if in Ottawa, no need to group. We may meet at any "hot spots". if go out of Ottawa, we'd better go in group.

It is the best time for birding now.

An extremely rare bird is showing at Dows lake, Ottawa, which is snowy egret.

wonderful catch, Can't have enough of it. Is this shot today ? The weather sealing feature of L comes handy. I saw another guy posted snowy egret on dpreview also (he used a 300D with 100-400) and was wondering where it is. May go check it out sometime.

Thanks, fad. the first and second egret pictures were taken in April, 21, the third one in April, 24.

Tragedy of today

When I went to Mud lake this morning, It was found that one of the two great horned owl chicks was died on the branch of the nest tree. Don't know the reason but it is very bad thing for the birders,photographers and people who love the wildlife. the lady standing beside me can not control her tears out from her eyes, her husband said to her"darling, that's nature, that's nature, ........"
