<HTML>Hi Dear net friends,

We never have to worry about paying tips to waitress/waiter in resturants, to taxi drivers, to delivery man when furniture is delivered to our house, and to any other possible service provided to customers.

However, we are in a Canadian society and should follow the Canadian way of doing things here. I just don't know if there is any simple rules to dehow much we should tip for the service though. I know that we normally pay about 10% of your bill in resturants. How about the other situations? I recently bought around $2000 worth of furniture and prepaid $40 delivery fee at the store before. Should I still pay tips to the delivery guys when stuff arrives? If so, how much would be appropriate?

The same questions also puzzles me when I take taxi sometimes.</HTML>

<HTML>Actually 15% for tips in western restruants/taxi is appropriate , but 10% sounds like is command rule in the Chinese resturants.</HTML>

<HTML>20% for very good services, and 15% for a good one, 10% or less for an hassle one. Or, if too bad, no tips at all plus complaining to the manager</HTML>

Re: Harry

<HTML>in the last case. the tip is 1c.</HTML>

Re: Culture Subject

<HTML>If the delivery charge has been paid, then I don't think you need to tip those guys. However, if they did a good job in handling your furnitures and you want tip them, $10 per person is appropriate.</HTML>
