I think you guy knows that template implementation is one of the not-fully-defined issues in C++ standard, so different compilers may have different requirment for the template implementation, such as BC++, VC++, GNU C++ or FlexC++ or others.
Some of these compilers are much more flexiable than others, such as G++, FlexC++.

I try both of these two, GNU C++ and FlexC++just few minuts ago, both work well.

and some other guys have given out some explanations, but my experience tell me it would be better to try to read the TELPATE section of online help/manaul of your compiler to fully follow its requirment. because these compilers have different requirment fo template implementation.

Yeah, I forget to tell you that if you check lib of VC 4.0, 5.0 or earlier or BC 7.0 or earlier, you will find lots of real code of this kind of include "name.cpp" or include "name.cxx".
I do not know the latest vesion of them because I have not used VC and BC for more than 3-4 years. But I can guess it should be similar.

Do you think these MS and Borland guys are not professional?

please make some senses, any decision DO JUST based on the special situation, if someone only know FOLLOWING some dead rules on books, what do you think he is?
