JD Power and associates came out with their 2004 Initial Quality Survey and Hyundai is tied with Honda in the number two spot for Initial Quality Only Toyota beet them. (and not by much either)

I drove all series of Hyundai. From Elantra to Sonata, as well as Santa. Those are all of Hyundais' that are being sold in China and here. I never drive Accent, because that shit is tooooooooooooo small for me. Since that, I say Hyundai is a shit. Do you know why they give 10 years warranty for their cars? Because they have to be repaired frequently. One my friend in China, his Tiburon had a Transimissin rebuild by the fourth year, and 78000kms. And one the other had a lemon by the second year and 23000kms due to the steering system faliure.How do you guys think about those shit?

JD power has good reputation within mobile industry for sure. But when you see the points for Mercedes Benz just above industrial average a bit regarding reliability. Will people stop buying MB because of that? The answer is NO. Data report doesn't mean anything unless you drive one yourself. In my opinion, you buy what you wanna buy and just buy it if you like it.
