It is the NDP who has always supported Chinese immigrants. Do you know that in the 1940-50’s there was a strong feeling amongst Canadians to stop immigrants from China? Canadians wanted immigrants, but not Chinese immigrants. It’s the NDP who argued for human rights and human equality for Chinese immigrants. For all those people who now enjoy immigration status in Canada, I feel we own the NDP a sense of gratitude for fighting against the Asian exclusion law, the Chinese head tax and what the NDP has done for you and me when the Liberals and Conservatives wanted to keep us out of Canada. It is clear that if we believe all people have value and not just those who own the most or are the richest; if we believe that the middle class should be heard and not be continually made into a cash cow for the biggest corporations - Canada Steamship Lines, Power Corp, etc; if we believ that our children should not go to American wars to die for nothing or for the Bush family; then we only have one choice. Vote NDP.

NDP是1961才成立的，1940-50还没有NDP，看了下面一段介绍，感觉还不如选中国的CCP:

要看近10年的党政方向。过于依赖太老的容易判断歪掉。40-50年过去了。不知道换了多少领导人。

If you really believe that the NDP is to be compared to the CCP then you obviously don't know the difference between a Social Democratic Party such as Labour in the UK, or the SPD that rules that "poor,anti-capitalist hellhole" Germany (as in Mercedes Benz, Mont Blanc pens, Hugo Boss...) and a single party Communist dictatorship of the proletariat. That's not to say that the Communists don't allow you to buy Mercedes, Mont Blanc, Hugo Boss in China, but when Germans go into the street to demonstrate against the government, they don't have to worry about tanks, AK-47s...
As for the fact that the NDP was founded in 1961: The Conservative Party also had their share of name changes - Progressive Conservative, Reform Party, Alliance, Conservative -Alliance Party, and now Conservative Party. If I had talked about the CCF - the old name of the NDP - no one would know what the hell I was talking about!
The Federal NDP is a Social Democratic party and as such it represents the Canadian middle class. If you are a low or middle income (ie $50 K to $250 K per year) person then the party that will best protect your interests instead of giving a $100 BILLION tax deduction to the richest Canadians at our expense (ie Paul Martin), the vote NDP.
