Suspicious package closes Ottawa airport

OTTAWA - The international airport in the capital was evacuated and shut down today after a suspicious package was found in some checked baggage.

A bomb squad was called to inspect the package.

Aircraft due to arrive were allowed to land but were being kept away from the airport building.

It was not known when the airport would reopen.

Same thing happened on election day at the Election Canada HQ, it was closed for a couple hours.
