It's a very good site for newcomers, loaded with detailed and useful informatin for new immigrants. What's most interesting is the author's choice of attention on the new environment, sometimes very different a typical Chinese, e.g. trees, library services.

I guess it is true that Russians own more books per capita than any other nationality!

agree...that's why i think it might open a "new window" for we Chinese, such as how to see this new country, how to enjoy this new life..., especially i like his travel part

I am most impressed with the wide range of services the author used to help himself get settled down in this new country: library, university career center, various workshops.

Hey we have annual book sale here in Ottawa as well!
