父母团聚申请不再优先处理 需时4-5年

In order to sponsor your parents to immigrate here, you have to meet certain anual income reqirements. So... you've contributed to this country. Therefore, you have the right to enjoy your family reunion. The policy change is absolutely not right. I don't know why some people are happy about this. Their parents might have already immigrated here, or they don't want to take care of their parents. Shame on you!!!

Yes, these people's parents have already immigranted to Canada.

不知道这些人contributed to this country多少钱？一对夫妻可申请4个老人来，过10年，都可以领福利，住福利房。而这些所谓的contributor不知道contribute多少年呢？看看唐人街餐馆洗碗，打工的‘妇女’，基本都是这些contributor的母亲，难道这样叫做孝顺？真的是‘笑’罗！好好想想‘Shame on you’！

我的推论是来自上次请坐月子的保姆，贴出帖子后，无数的（大约有20多and up的老人）来应征，他们大多是移民的父母（也有男的打电话来要应征），不知道这样的年纪（大约都在60左右）能自己独立移民来吗？有的是探亲，有的是团聚移民。我问过她们，基本有从事洗碗的工作，有一些是在某公司做清洁的。有的正住在老人公寓，孩子都去了美国。她们选择在唐人街洗碗，因为她们不懂英文。后来我选了一位没子女的老人，因为她更可怜，更需要钱。
当然不能以片盖全，大致上是这样。

我猜你很少出去吃饭，或者很少去餐馆后面看看，我没有做过调查，更没认为这里的唐人街有100-200的中国餐馆。

这也太没有说服力了。

相对这"20多"打电话来的，没有打电话来应征的有多少呢? 一百，一千，一万?

加拿大的移民是加拿大的一笔财富. 移民为加拿大节省了二十到三十年的投资, 除交钱申请外, 还要带钱自保至少半年的生活. 难道让这些儿优秀的儿女为加拿大服务, 不是一种最大的贡献吗? 试想有多少老人能再有几个二十年? 培养人才和赡养老人, 政府会为哪个付出更多?

有心与年迈的父母同享天伦, 已是孝心一片, 但是家家有本难念的经. 在外做工的老人与在家同孙子玩耍的老人相比, 毕竟还是少数. 况且一些在外做工的老人是早期的移民,工作只是生活的一部分. 难到一叶障木, 就真的没有森林了吗?

每次看到加拿大的老人和子女之间互探互访, 多么的轻松, 方便, 心中无数羡慕. 不解的是, 移民想与父母相见, 却是一种奢望. 更不用说没得到签证, 被拒绝访问亲生子女的老人, 难道这就算公平吗? 移民需要为加拿大牺牲多少才公平?

有谁能解释为什么要延长父母与子女团聚的时间? 难道移民没有了亲情, 加拿大就能富国天下了吗?

Reunion with parents and children is one of basic human right, Canada, as a democratic state, should give less limition to this kind of immigrants. However, the difference of social welfare to the olders for reunion is reasonable. In general, Canadian govern't should do more to improve the minority living conditions. But as the post said above, they always offer a blank cheque to new immigrants.
