For US green card holders only. You need a visa to enter US. I'm not sure if the policy has been changed since the maple card is in effect.
BTW, the multi-entry visa given to Canadian permanent residents is a tourist visa, not a working visa, you'll need H1 visa to work in the States.

For Canadian PR with passport issued by British Commonwelth countries, visitor visa is waved.

I got H1-B visa today.

To Guo Dingjun:

In my case, the company gave me the offer --> My education evaluation --> the company apply H1-B petition for me --> H1-B petition approved --> I applied H1-B visa stamp here with all the documentation sent to me.
