[问题] 急问，房子的朝向很重要吗

东西向的好还是南北向的好？
另外，如果是东西向的，backyard面向西，也就是说厨房的eating area,living room,还有master room的大窗户都是朝西的，这样好吗？
还是朝东的方向人们更喜欢些？

补充一句，那个backyard面向西的，没有后面的邻居，但是高压线经过，虽然在杆子中间，但不知道resale时会不会有影响？

不会是高压线吧

要真是至少我会很忌讳，我想大部分中国人也会，
我知道我有一同事就是这原因没买一二手房。

You should take the floor plan of your home into consideration when you judge the direction of the house. For example, many Chinese prefer their door to face the south, but if your living room or family room is in the opposite direction, then you'll spend most of your time in the room that's facing the north.

So again, it all depends on your home's floor plan. Generally speaking, you want the rooms that you spend most of the time in to face the south, so that you'll have warmer temperature and more light.

This is definitely an ISSUE for resale...some people are very sensitive about 高压线经过...

不是头顶，在backyard 外 5-10米的位置。不知道有否影响

多谢回复，可供选择的已经不多了，只有入口朝南，但主要房间和backyard都朝北，或者入口朝东，主要房间都朝西的选择了。

一般朝向在resale时是个主要因素吗？因为对于我自己住来说，我倒是喜欢东西方向的。

It's a personal choice. I think if the price is right, nothing is hard to sell.
House direction seems to be a concern for Chinese only, so don't worry too much.

As for the 风水, the civic address of your new home is another issue...e.g., 54 xxx Street, 44 xxx Avenue are not good for us Chinese of course, 13 xxx Crescent is a bad number for either Chinese or local Canadians...

You can check with the sales rep for your civic address in advance and ask the city to change it if it happends to be a bad number

高压线不好。
厅朝西不错，冬天有阳光，每一个房间都有机会见到阳光。
南北的在加拿大不见得好。

国内房子看好朝南，主要是apartment大多只有单边有窗。

这边的房子，好象一般看好东西向，为的是早晚都有房间有太阳。至于什么时候那个房间有太阳好，那就是个人喜好了。“入口朝东，主要房间都朝西”的话，living room/master bedroom 在冬天的下午会有不少太阳，坐下来，找本有趣的书看看是很惬意的。:blowzy:

不过，有高压线是不太好。

多谢大家，综合考虑，已经选择了厅朝西的。今天又看了一下原来的选择，果然是高压线，怪不得backyard大很多但价钱还是不高，忍痛割爱了。
