新屋开建了.今天去看了一次.发现不少不解之处.想请叫各位过来人.外墙的象纸板的东东(黑色的板子)不知为河有几处有大洞.后面的阳台门我家的是用黑纸板但别人家的用的是OSB板(跟地板料一样).不只谁能解答.我是不是要向BUILDER反映. 谢了. 急!!!

same as my house,they may replace for you,you have to go to the site everyday,if you find anything you don't like ,tell site superviser ASAP!!

It is OK. I saw many holes on new building houses. For my house, workers used a fire gun to cut a steel bar and burn a big hole. On final stage, they will fix everything. The black board is cheaper and better for insulation, but not stronger.

BTW: I bought a Minto home (as many of you already knew), and my house wasn't built using this kind of material. So Little Idiot, your intelligence isn't correct.

Minto do use many cheap meterials. if u look it be carefully.
and they build house with more openning design now..much less interior wall, if u go basement, will find more distance between the cross beams.....and few new minto development zone are build on the pond, the new houses are already start shifting.. normally house will takes 5 yrs to done the shifting and become stable,
Minto bought those cheap land (which on the pond) and build with cheap meterials, But the price of their houses??? :flaming:

before 1991, Minto's houses are good...now they become a major player in ontario..they are pretty bad now. :gun:

Now that we are talking about this "black board", I remember seeing a few homes built using this material in my neighborhood, but the builder is Braebury if I'm not mistaken.

Again, I don't know what's wrong with this kind of material. Let's not spread the rumor, do a bit research and post your findings.

I guess this is softwoodboard sheathing (it feel likes hardboard paper) of siding panel wall..... manufactures by Georgia-Pacific

that is not good quality material..but it meets Ontario Building Code.

确实是Minto建的.非常关心的是到底这些个破洞(不止一个)会不会给补上,不补的话会不会将来造成什么后果(漏雨,不保暖,等等).这层 black board 的用途是什么?多谢.
