Tie Rack store(at Bayshore or Rideau Center): the lady's scarf made in Italy. Two small ones for $15, two big ones for $30.
Winners: I once found the lady's winter scarf made in Japan and gentleman's scarf made in Germany
The cosmetics and parfume fair at Nepean SportSplex center: parfume (it usually holds twice per year, the current one will be closed on Monday. But this time I feel the parfume price is 30% higher than before, somehow the price is still much better than stores and worthy going. )
Wine: Just the most regular wine is OK
Lipstick: no woman will think she has many enough lipsticks. But the trick is to buy some brands which are not carried in China, for example, Annebelle made in Montreal, Rimmel made in London. They are very non-expensive, new and cute.
Kid: try Old Navy, some accessories are made in Korea, such as sun glasses, cotton pantyhose.
I go back China every year, it's a huge headache to find a perfect gift for the family members as they all have a great taste and almost have everything. And it's so hard to find affordable things not made in China, except food and cosmetics.
