Because these women felt that they had nowhere to go! They were made to believe that they are worthless, and that they can't survive on their own. In most cases, the victims were also being threatened of their lives by their abusers, or the lives of their children or loved ones. Police isn't there to help them, social servies isn't there to help them, they have NO ONE, NO ONE!

You have to remember this is a completely domination/submission situation, these women often have very little education, absolutely no money and most importantly no self-esteem. WHY? They were told so, through years and years of verbal and mental abuse.

What would you do?

如果把男人和女人放在一个对立面上来解决真正的社会问题和家庭问题， 哪将永远解决不了的。。而下一代将是最大的受害者。

I don't ever suppose that we could solve the problem of family violence, but at least people should be aware of the damaging effects of family abuse, through discussion and information.

Stop people from talking about it isn't protecting the victims.

In 99.9% of family abuse cases, women and children are the victims, this is a fact, not some hypothesis.
