my guess is that normally the cost of the material and the labour should be 50/50, unless you select some kind of special stuff or from some real good deal...

in that sense, by DIY you save at least 50% and also you can save on the cost of materials too as you can shop around to get better deals...

I believe it is 1/3 material and 2/3 labour here in Ottawa.

as you said, if done by urself, inculde ur time cost, should close to
$8000-10000$, u said much less, how much u spend?? is that include ur own labor??
