Step 1. A donor makes a cash donation to a registered charity foundation ( Foundation A)
Step 2. Donor then applies to the Trust (which owns the WHO Essential Medicine Units) to become a beneficiary.
Step 3. The trust transfers title of the WHO Essential Medicine Units to the successful applicant (Donor)
Step 4. Donor chooses to donate WHO Essential Medicine Units to a registered charitable foundation (Foundation B).
Step 5. Foundation A issues a tax receipt for the cash donation; Foundation B issues a tax receipt for the net value of the WHO Essential Medicine Units.
Step 6. WHO Essential Medicine Units are distributed to those in need in developing countries.
