No that's not true. Now the professionals like to wear casual.

My rough definition: work in a office, no hard labour work, no sweat after 8 hours.

要想真得找朋友,劝你不要在这儿找,这儿的人都是目的性的找,不会有那种纯粹“朋友”for just hang out.....if u wanna meet some new ppl, just join the parties they usually organize online of CFC.....
also, girls under 25 don't usually hangout with guys over 30 unless she wanna sth out of him, anywyas, good luck :)

我靠,这就是白领!! 满大街都是!!:smokin:

That's just a very rough definition. Maybe it's too broad?

According to this definition, office workers, including secretaries and receptionists are all so called "white collar"s. Maybe they should be, I don't know.

My original intent was to add some restrctions on incomes, such as "more than $35 per hour". But I'm sure there will be a lot of argument again for that (too low, too high), so forget it.

Definitions in my dictionary:

white-collar
Refers to employees who perform knowledge work, such as those in professional, managerial or administrative positions

blue-collar
Refers to employees who perform manual labor, such as in a factory

Actually after so many years, I've got used to my surroundings in Canada. The first 5 years after I moved to Canada, I always wanted to leave here for some place with more things happening. But then slowly I became part of this place. I found the peace here. Not long ago my company wants to move me to Asia and I refused. That would be impossible to me if it happened 7 years ago.
But now I moved to Ottawa, I have to say that it's pretty boring in Ottawa.

uh oh :)

what's going on here? :lookaroun
are you trying to stir things up in O-town? ~
