May I qualify for EI application if I have outside Canada for 10 months

Work in U.S. for 10 months as a contractor, then working in Beijing China for 4 months. Now I be back Ottawa and donot have any employment. Under this situation, may I qualify for EI application?

If yes, what kind of document should I show to the government?

会在时间上给你找麻烦,四个月的事情,能拖你两年.不信就试试

要是在国外工作。可以在加国拿EI,那可太好了。应该告诉中国所有下岗工人到加国申请EI.

You can call HRDC to get a answer. If you still have EI amount in your account before you got that contract(that means HRDC terminate your EI at that time since you got a job), you can get your EI activated immediatly to get rest of your EI.
