Someone from BC?

1) I am going to move to BC end of this year. Now I am holding G2 license in Ontario. Should I take G2 exit road test to get full G license before I move to BC? If I get full G license in Ontario, will I get full-privilege license right away in BC? How does it affect the car insurance in BC? Help me please.
Also what kind of paper work/document should I bring with me from Ontario in order to get car insurance in BC?

2) Do I qualified for Medicare right away as soon as I arrive in BC or I have to wait for three months?

Actually, I have called ICBC and they told me the same thing as you said, only thing is i have to hold G2 at least 2 years.
The reason I want to move to BC is that I am so sick of the cold weather here, -30 degree, can't stand it anymore. NO,I have not found a job yet, but I don't worry about it too much right now, where there is a life, there is hope. Also, I have a friend who living in Vancouver now and can help me out.

1. If you have a G2 licence, you will get the same thing in BC. You will then have to take another road test to get the G licence in BC. If you have a G licence in Ontario, you can exchange for a G licence in BC right away. Ontario and BC have very similar systems of licensing. You do not need to bring any documents with you. Just bring your old Ontario licence and ICBC (the authority that issues driver's licences in BC) can assess your records in Ontario.

2. Yes, there will be a three-month waiting period. However, most clinics and hospitals in BC accept health card from all provinces and territories except Québec, and you should be fine.

May I ask you why you want to move to BC? Have you found a job there? My personal experience is that there is a very strong discrimination against Asians, especially Chinese, in BC, esp in Vancouver. That's why I left BC!

请问照你所说的意思是在安省的G2驾照必须持有不低于两年才可以换取B.C的相同级别的7级驾照? 不知B.C是否也象安省一样在拿了G2后一年才可以考Full Licence?
