如何给加拿大出生的小孩办护照

First, get a passport application form from a travel agency and fill all the required information carefully especially names. Then, take your child to a photographer's office and get a passport picture taken for your child, which may require your assistance for a baby. Lastly, take your child's birth certificate and application form with attached passport photo to the passport office to submit your application--You need to line up for this; sometimes, it may take several hours to get your application forms in.

You will be required to pay the fee during the last step.

应该跟成人申请一样。到附近的邮局取一份护照申请材料，(一般放在出售信封包装纸墙边的架子里)，里面的说明很详细。

关于出生证

我正在为小孩申请出生证。申请表中关于guarantor的要求似乎很矛盾。
Guarantor是加拿大公民，且认识applicant 至少2 年。但我小孩才几个月。

You can ask your baby's doctor to be her/his guarantor.

出生证申请表中的applicant是指小孩还是其父母？

guarantor 可以找你的产科大夫， application好象是你，是你申请办理你孩子的出生证。
出生证的申请表是新改的，以前是不用guarantor的，所以记得跟你的doc说清楚。
而且即使doc给你填的认识时间是1年，也可以办得到的，我当时就是这么办的。
如果是给baby办护照，那么guarantor就应该找baby的doc。

When I applied the passport for my baby last year, I was suggested by the officer that I could
provide two refernece whom I have known for at lease 5 years, instead of a guarantor. So I just fill the form with the information of my two friends. That is it. Strickly, I could not find any guarantor that meet the requirment stated in the application form, even our doctor or lawyer . I had been in Canada less than 2 year at the time.

You (not the baby) is the applicant and has to sign the application form. You should have no problem in finding 1 o 2 guarantors here.

For the birth certificate, I just went through it, writing a letter states that you are in Canada less than two years, so you couldn't find a guarantor. Mail the letter, along with the copy of your landing paper, and the application form to their head office, I forgot where it is, you could find it on the applicaition package, that's it.
