关于新房warranty的问题请教

新房在二年warranty结束之前发现漏水,正在联系builder修。我不清楚的是修完以后是否也应该有一定的warranty时间。否则怎么知道是否修好。那位有经验的给介绍一下。非常感谢。

哪里漏水?如果是结构问题,比如地下室墙上有裂痕因而漏水,builder应该负责修理,保修期应该还是7年。如果是水管漏水,通常就只有自己负责了。
 
我理解7年的warranty应该是foundation.leaking 一般是2年的warranty.
我现在关心的是如果问题处在warranty快结束的时候。builder来修理后,他们是否还对该修理有一定的warranty时间。否则怎么保证他们秀丽的合格与否。
 
Yes, the builder's warranty for foundation leaking should be 2 years. I just had my fundation fixed by the builder's contractor. The builder told me the fix is under 5-year warranty provided by this contractor. You may want to check it with your builder. Good luck.
 
Well, technically the leak caused by the structural problem should have 7-year warranty. If the leak is caused by natural settlement, which is the most common case like mine, the builder only provides 2-year warranty for it.
