I think u dont really know about the PS and regulation of government employment, most of ur comments are not really a truth!
give u some true comments
1) they have to work for 37.5 hrs every week ( not as u said 32 or less)
2) one real example, three mouths ago, Industry Canada was laid off 11 SC positions,meas they lost the job!( not transfer as u said)
3) PS union on strik is not all the PS workers wanted, it was a stupid game between the Union and government, government already agree increase salay for 6.9%, but Union wants 8%, what is the big difference all the PS workers get into their pocket after the Tax? but u can see clearly that Union will gets more money from pay cheque of PS workers !
and once again, all the PS workers are still employees same as u, and they make money for living and also pay the same tax as u!
BTW, I own private company not a PS worker

Here is my counter-answers:
1> Come on, we all know those are paper laws. my colleagues and I often have to work extra hours to get work done in time, by law we should have traded days off right? no! there is a cap between law and reality. Just allow me to give you an example from real life. A friend of mine works in CCRA.He is a Tax Auditor. We calculated out the average days he worked this summer and fall, guess what? 3.8 days a week! hold still, 'coz not finished yet, his boss worked 3 days a week. why? in government, you have sick leave, family leave, vacations(normally longer than private workers have), trade off hours..... As long as you have an imagination, you can have unlimited leaves as you want. Pain, right? damn them, this is the reality, not the paper law, mister!
