for sure it is
所以你的意思是没工作的都是因为没有SKILL或者英文不够好?这话等于没说一样,没法介定.

To FallColor:
You shouldn't have moved before you found another job. My employer is Revenue Canada. It has the largest IT shop( nearly 3000 IT personnel in IT branch) in Government. At the same time I found this job, I got another offer from Human Resource Development of Canada and it took me around 10 months to get it but I declined that offer because I think the one from Revenue Canada is better.

i have never consider finding a job is a very difficult thing, and I am only a undergraduats. Many of my friends who are first generation immigrants or visa-students are the same, new grads, and still able to find a decent job. It really depend on yourself, you can't blam eveything on the govt, there are plenty of jobs out there and govt got many of the programs that help new immigrants.

Hi qiuyi_1:

Well, the government department who placed me in the Qualified Candidate Pool is exactly Revenue Canada.Since it's still hiring, how come it takes so long for them to find a suitable job for me?

second, assuming they do find me a suitable job eventually, will they still interview me? (since they already done the reference checking)I probably want to take a trip back to China to see if there are opportunities. It will not be economical for me to take a trip back just for the interview.

you answer will be highly appreciated! thanks.

thanks. yes, it's true.
After I have taken considerable time to applied for some jobs and employers did not even give a dame (probably just thrown into garbage) I thought I was so qualified...
All the time consuming efforts, all those hopes just evaporated into the thin air. I started getting very cynical. It seems so unfair and pathetic. so I do not want to spend time at all.It seems kind of kills me to spend time to search.

Don't despair, job hunting is a long and painful process. This is the low season in labor market as many companies are approaching their financial year end. Just make sure you spend the time in job search, say make a commitment to spend 6-8 hours a day, record company/position applied, and be patient. It will pay off if you spend the time. :)

Hi, FallColor:
I got my current job through co-op so I really don't know what's going to happen next to u and how long it takes.
