okay, the company is a small company called Fortenet. I am not sure if
I spelled it correctly. My classmate is the only person without a CCIE
in his group. CCIE only means you are familiar with cisco routers. Why
do we need so many CCIEs?

Is it Fortinet? i remember this company is founded by the guy who founded the NetScreen (now part of Juniper).
A real CCIE is not just familair with "Cisco router", there is a lot more. But if you work in the ip routing area, familiar with Cisco router is necessary. For example, most other vendors like NT and ALA mimic either IOS or Junos's CLI

BTW. How do you guys know how many CCIEs in Canada? any website? So how many are there in China?
I met some ppl just passed CCIE written exam, but not the lab exam.
