<HTML>If you're a serious trader/investor, the following commercial market data provider is pretty good for consideration:

Historical end of day data:

Quote Plus, US$25/Month, End of Day market data, US mutual fund/stocks

Retures datalink, US$25/Month, End of Day market data, US and Canadian mutual fund/stocks

Real time intro day data:
Live Charts, US$10-80/Month, real time streaming data</HTML>

<HTML>Hi,: klin
have u tried them all?
if u don't mind, would u pls send me one demo database of each? (a copy of some day). I want to know what kind of data type they are in. whether I can develope my own software to use it or not. if it's not convenience, how about send me the readme of the those package, then I can decide to order it from the internet.
thank you!

my mail: mzhousz@yahoo.ca</HTML>

<HTML>They have their own database. I haven't got a chance to heck into their database. The only way to move data outside of their database is export, and the output will be standard text file I gave before.

Don't ever try to write your own software, if you're really serious trader. I spent more than 6 months on this and found it's not worth to do it yourself, not mention the source you could get for free is not reliable at all, such as Yahoo! Finance.

You can claim the fee you paid for data when filing your tax return, by the way.</HTML>

<HTML>'claim the fee you paid for data when filing your tax return'? :mdr!:

how can i do that? btw, i am in vancouver.</HTML>

<HTML>do they provide any software besides data?</HTML>

<HTML>i am always losting money for the delay chart. for example,i asked to buy yhoo@18.51 yesterday, but the price rose just before i my order is fill.</HTML>

<HTML>Yes, they have scan/chart tools as well as the data itself. Moreover, QP2 provide you script tool to query database to meet your own specific criteria and generate report like the daily market data I post everyday.

If you don't mind, metion my username klin613 when you sign up with QP2, I could get one month data for free. :) Then I can buy you beer in return. :) :) :)</HTML>

<HTML>thank u. it's my pleasure to mention your username if i open my account.

what're the scan/chart tools? a software that can read the indicator of any day or just a graph?

and do u receive NASDAQ LEVEL II DATA, i just wonder whether i can use such datas!

do u receive real time intraday datas?

thank u!</HTML>

<HTML>Scan lets you query database in your way while Chart is simply a daily bar chart of market data as well as a lot of technical indicators.

I can get access to real time Nasdaq Level II data in 10 seconds if I wish. My Qfeed account has not been activated for Naz Level II, it's just matter of money. :) I've both Qfeed(quote.com) and QP2(qp2.com), Qfeed is good for real time intra-day data and QP2 for End-of-Day price data and all fundamental data.</HTML>

<HTML>u mean u use the QP2 scan tool to get all your buy-point of the next day and generate a report of all the stocks??

do they keep historical data on local harddisk? can i append EOD data from a text file or from any other realtime source to forecast one day ahead?

do u need to write scrip-code or C app?

i am trying to write some codes, but it's very boring. however TA is all my dream. :fantome:</HTML>

<HTML>They store database locally in you harddisk (back to 1990), generate reports like daily market report. I write their in-house script to query database.

I use QP2 for:
- Daily EOD datasource feed into the system and buy price computed based on it
- Select stocks proper for the system, such as market cap greater than 40M, daily dollar-volume greater than 150000, etc.</HTML>

<HTML>i have a plan to write a system using Naz Level II data, doou know whthwe Commercial market data provide any tools to read out the detail datas?

BTW, it seems my boss is going to fire me, so I cannot buy the data service right now, if i will buy it, i am sure to metion your username. :( life is hard as i am poor :(</HTML>
