问个关于车保险的问题

那几百刀的deductible，是怎么回事？
是无论谁的责任，自己都要掏？还是如果是自己的责任，自己掏；是对方的责任，保险公司全赔？

Doesn't matter, you have to pay for the dedectible yourself. That's why if you have a small accident, it's not worth to claim it.

When you claim a no-fault claim, you don't need to pay any deductible. At least that was the case in year 2000.

You are totally right.

不。如果明显是对方的错，对方的保险公司会免去你的deduction。

Deduction仅限是自己的错误、或无责任人的过错。买保险只是多了个第三方来分摊损失，并不能免去任何实际赔偿。对方责任的是会全赔的：假如你的损失得不到保险公司100%赔偿，你岂不是向法院起诉对方要求全额赔偿更好？

Oh I just got a letter from my insurance company last night, saying that starting from 2005 (or whatever date), the government of Ontario requires a minimum deductible amount of $500 in order to lower the premium. My premium did drop, but only a little bit.

Same here, my premius has dropped about $20/year but my deductible has increased from $300 to $500. :flaming:

Raise my deductable to 1K long time ago. If the damage is below this number, I wouldn't claim anyway, otherwise the insurance company would kill me in the next 3 years.
