well, by posting here with lots of idea, but actually, *Is there anything will be getting done?*

I guess none. We are all here to suggest things to do, will they just listen to 1 or 2 people, or they dont even read our postings.

I will do something other than *suggesting* what they can improve, I will do something that I dont need to pay too much tax/no tax at all. ( of course legally )

税局目前最应该做的事情是
1.让每个有资格电子报税的的纳税人free使用ufile服务
2.给没有资格电子保税的纳税人发放邮资已付的信封

没有见过哪个国家是要纳税人交钱报税的!

我的观点是政府应该提供免费的电子报税服务,让大部分的纳税人能直接免费在在税务局网站file tax return
尽管cost是tax deductible,但羊毛出在羊身上,实际上还是我们纳税人的钱养肥了出quicktax,ufile软件的公司
他们能挣钱,纯粹是因为政府没有尽到政府的义务,硬是把这块肉让给他们吃了

Well, action is not easy if most people don't realize the fact. I feel that it's appropriate for us to educate people here to make them realize there is no free lunch in this country, all the programs are supported by tax payer's money. Until most people realize this, then at next election, you know how to cast your vote. But at this stage,
there are just too many people out there have naive thoughts, thinking all the social programs such as universal medicare, universal daycare prog and so on are from the heaven and by going high tax to the government, the people all benefit from the those social prog. What they don't realize is that there are tons of money wasted by those guys, not to say bribe and corruption.

Yes, it's quite nature for government to buy the software and give it to tax payer for free as with more and more people using this kind of software, the government will hire fewer people to input those data (as you did that for them) and verifying the outcome (as the software is tested). It's good for both the people and the government. Now who knows where this saving goes? The government is just too greedy. It knows pretty well the money is the power.

我说免费,其实不尽然,都是我们纳的税
政府要提高税率,没有借口也能找借口提高的
政府就是要大家来监督的,这点权利都没有,选他们干嘛?

I don't think it's the same for government to provide free software for tax return and free medicare. How many time you are going to pay tax every year, once, and how many time you are going to use the medicare system? and how much cost for using each.

Also if the government go to buy software in large quantity, it won't cost C$34 bucks as retail, and as the sole buyer for this software, the government can also control the price (I will walk away if you charge me too much). On the ther hand, by giving out the free software (like they distribute the tax form), and encourage people to
file e-tax, they can save the cost by hiring more people in CCRA.

You think the government won't raise tax if not giving free software, they will do that anyway.

You are confusing people. People blaming the medicare system is because it cost too much tax and waiting list is too long. They don't complain it's free. Also those coming as immgrants to enjoy this system won't complain at all, or at least at the beginning, until they are taxed to death, while still wait to see specialists.
