after a check through autotrade, I saw that the fair price for 2000 New Beatle with comparible features is listed here

Honestly, I would say the only comparible features for used automobile are engine type, and milage. Turbo charged engine is more expensive than regular 2.0liter in-line 4cylinder 8 valve engine. TDI(turbo diesel injection) is even more than 1.8T. Your price is only good for TDI Deetle, and VW has already shut down the steamline for manufacturing 2.0liter 8 valve engine, so it can be very difficult to get repaired when something happens.
Further, I check the info from Canadian Automobile Black Book, and I put all the exact your vehicle info into it, and I got the price for trade-in:
Low: $7,680.00 High: $8,980.00
Your car does not have even a alloy wheel. So the recommanded price for $9900 is fairly enough for your car LA

Dear Branch Manager:
1. This is not my car, if you knew me you would know that' not my name listed.

2. I don't know the complet features of the car. Everything I know is listed above by the owner. I provided the links and the additional info to support that it is reasonable to list the price at $14,500.

3. Even if its not reasonable price, the owner can list whatever price she chose. If it doesn't sale, that's her problem. Not you guys.

4. And so what if I am the famous OU lady, what does it have to do with what is the listed price for the car? If I want to sale it for above market price, I obviously can try can't I? The price is worked out between the seller and the buyer. Its fine if you guys don't agree with the price - I suggest you go look somewhere else.

The engine for GLS model is 2.0 in-line 4, not 1.8 turbo. Those comparisons you listed above, do not make any sence for this high price. Those can be rather much lower KMs or much better engine. Since I know you, the famous lady in UO. I would recommand you to reduce your price to $9,900 which will be acceptable for the majority.

the price is NEGOTIABLE, but only for serious buyers, not for guys who are sitting around waiting for deals.

Really, thank you for your interest. While the car's owner appreciates your concerns and acknowledge your expertise in auto dealing, it is up to her to decide on the listing price. It is common practice to list the price slightly higher to allow for marginal flexibility. The actual market price will be decide through negotiations by owner and potential buyer, and only between the owner and buyer.

Everyone reserves the freedom of speech, if they do not harass yourself, and no dirty words produced and directed to you or the owner,then it's their right to say whatever they wanna say. I am fully aware of the freedom of speech. I never said to others that they cannot make comment and or advise post if they are interested or concerned. But I believe that there is a line that needs to be drawn - freedom of words needs to be reconsidered in cases where an individual's libel and defamation can and will damage another party's reputation, interfer with their ability to conduct business in an orderly fashion, and incur damages in time wasted, as well as emotional damages. I specify they refrain from posting defamatory remarks. I myself do feel harassed by z - this individual repeatedly and falsely suggested that I am trying to trick people. In addition, he/she called me names, and made me feel threatened about posting here. There is a balance between freedom of speech and Internet libel. People need to be made aware of the law. In this case, the 'right to say what they wanna say' has caused damages to myself and the owner of the vehicle.

This is a phenonmenon that I see frequently in the CFC second hand market. Individual carelessly made remark has a remarkable ability to persuade public opinion. In my case, I feel threatened regarding my status as a 'famous lady'. It is very likely that should I conduct in commerce here in the future, and people will hold a bias against me as the 'famous lady who is fradulent'. This will cause necessary financial damages, and reprecussion is unavoidable.

Thank you for your concerns and suggestion. All I wanted to do was to help my friend sell her car as quickly as possible. But this is a string that has touched me all too much.

I understand that VW. Thank you for your advise. We hope to sell the car here because of CFC's high traffic and number of people interested in cars. We are seeking alternative routes.

But there should be a ruling in the CFC advertisement section that regulates people from interfering with sellers since these interferes are causing damages that results in financial losses. We are not directly negatively impacting anybody lives. Yet the words that were used against myself and the owner were hurtful and definitely have an impact on our ability to sell the car here.

In addition, this is not the first and only time this has happened, not just to myself and the owner of this vehicle, but other individual trying to sell their property. It is their right to list the items at the price they deem desirable. It is not anybody else's business. People do not realize that with this 'freedom of speech' they are interfering with financial transactions on groundless accusations.

I feel personally threatened and my time wasted in dealing with these people. I am not a person to sit on the side and do nothing. there will and shall be a rule set in place.
