Is it possible to modify search option to allow less than 3 charracters ?

中文字是双字节， 4字节就是两个字，这是中文搜索的最小限度了。

I meant english word or acronym with 2 or 3 alphabetic char like: "job", "EE".

这会成倍的增加服务器资源的占用以及搜索的时间， 就现在的硬件环境来看，我们无法提供3字节一下的搜索。

2字节3字节 vs 4字节, I didn't expect such a big difference.

Eventhough it will undoubtbly overload the system resources, really
how often people do search english words with 2,3 char ?
there's not even enought words of 2 or 3 char.
