大家常犯的几条法规：

在Fishing Regulations Summary里面，关于catch and possession limits的详细解释，都有一个定语“daily”，比如说：
"If you catch a fish after reaching the daily catch or possession limit for that species, the fish must be released immediately back to the water”。（这段在general glossary)；
还有：“Daily catch and possession limits will...blah blah”,(这段在sectional maps)。

也就是说 catch and possession limits 是指一天而言。也就是说一天的时间里，你获得，保留，并最终拥有的鱼获，不管是桶里装着的，杆上挂着的，还是嘴里含着的（如果有的话），不能超过限制，比如说walleye, sports license 是6条。 简而言之，一天之内你不能“拥有”超过6条。“拥有”这个词告诉我们如果“获得”超过数量的鱼，只要release 多余的就不犯规。至于冰箱里存放了超过数量的鱼，只要他们是在不同日子入住的并且每日入住的数量不大于限制，都合法。关于这点误会，我猜想你是被原文“cold storage”给误导了：原文其实指的是钓鱼者临时储存渔获的冰桶之类的东西，跟家里用的“refrigerator”不是一回事。
