Is there a big difference to use hand hammer instead of compactor for gravel and slab?

Because it's not really easy to ship the compactor from the Homedepot to home if you don't have a big car.

Mexican beach pebbles as below match the color best...the white marbles are little bit too shiny..

You want to make a comparison or what?

I will surely do...actually I want to show off my home made picnic table which sits on the patio.. it costs me $200+ for the materials only Costco or HomeDepot sells one for 70 bucks ,of course, they would not use West Red cedar )

There is huge difference. By using compactor the base is very solid. I ever try the hand hammer, there is no way to achieve the effect. If you are building a formal patio, I strongly suggest u renting compactor.

Also, it is too late for me to change the white stones: they have been laying down there

大圆坛真得有点意思。赞！另我处工程已作了四人5天20个工作日。完成50%。工程有点大。我的脑袋也有点大了。从设计到施工，错了改，改了错，不过正在趋于顺利。预计10个工作日后可基本完工。Thanks for evrything!!完事后会请你们检阅成果。。。
