I bought a cheap Chinese brand (can't remember the name), it looks pretty and it gets the job done. I believe it's from Walmart or Canadian Tire, but I'd check Costco first.

Will your machine shut off power automatically when
the humidity in room approching set up value? Mine (Danby boguht from Costoco) wouldn't cause the fan is still running even it is not in dehumidity state.
How many power it will comsume or extra bill if let it running 7 x 24 all the time?

Right, Danby is the brand I bought. You should set your dehumidifier to run on "dehumidify" option rather than "fan" option if you want it to shut off when the optimal humidity is reached. Read your user manual, there is no text description, just a symbol to switch between the options, a little bit tricky.

I'm not sure how much more electricity it consumes, but I'd figure it's better to keep it dry than to have molds growing in my basement.

You must have set the fan to run at all times.
Dehumidifier is not a regulator of temperature, that's what A/C is used for.

I had the same model and also found 风扇一直都转. It seems no setting there to stop the fun unless you turn off the whole machine. JJ, are you able to let your dehumidifier's fun stop when it reached setting humidy level? I thought Costco's stuff should be normally better than those bought from CT or walmart.

我那个fan只有高档和低档，没有关掉的选项啊？我回家看看说明书。

前些天开空调，地下室冷得不敢 呆，一 楼刚刚好，可是楼上还是闷热。后来把窗子都打开，反而感觉凉快些。不知怎么搞的？
