No, the air conditioners in Costco are the mini compact ones, with very little cooling capacity. I bought one before, it was completely useless. Although it was rated 8000 BTU, it was weaker than my old 6000 BTU window unit.
Those standing ones sold in China are much much stronger. The good ones cost around RMB 5000 each. They are completely different from the cheap $169 air conditioners sold here in Costco.
