Read on Rolia last week, someone used other people's membercard to shop at Costco and got caught. He didn't get to do any shopping and the owner of the card has his membership privilage taken away.

They check by looking at the photo on your card. But most Chinese
are alike in their eyes. Plus you are the customer and you are
helping their business. They won't be too serious.

hey, not just chinese do this, everybody does. it has nothing
to do with our tradition, it is personal decision. don't raise
it to the race level unless you want trouble.

个人觉得50$的年费不是很过分。
以前和朋友一起share过100$年费的那种卡，年底有2%的cash back.
现在不干了，自己用。
