Our relative in China sent us 2 boxes of dried sea cucumbers (Hai Sen) and they got detained by the Canadian Custom...

The reason, as described in a letter, is due to the sea cucumber is in Category "C" - something related to Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora...

It looks like we can request revision of the identification or apply for a special permit from Environment Canada...

Does anyone out there have a similar experience before? Any information would be highly appreciated!
:thanks:

我带过海参,不让入境,我当场吃了。

兄弟,这两合海参是和几本书一起寄过来的。书收到了,海参我连影也没见,就给扣了。。:crying:

Continue asking :)

After talking with the officer from Environment Canada, Sea Cucumber is on the CITES's control list and it needs export permit (from China)...looks like too much hassle to get this permit, so can we ask the Custom Canada to return/send back the Sea Cucumber to China?
