this Dell LCD has a very bad reputation of backlight leaking, which makes corners lighter than center. It is especially noticable when you play movies, or PC games. Otherwise, this monitor should be a great one for photo process. photos are about the same ratio, and we will have extra space for PS tool bar.
Thanks for the education. Since my 21" Trinitron are still kicking and screaming, I don't think I have the luxury to replace it anytime soon. Sometimes and many times 旧的不去, 新的不来.
I don't have anything good, so I will be buying one of those LCDs. Check out Cnet.com. They have a review on a very infamous brand of LCDs. But that LCD is a killer. but on color reproduction and price.
Serious guys should check it out! I am not that crazy yet, not until I become the most famous/best photographer in this town.
man, no offence, but if what you said was true, I would have lay on the ground and rolling around, probably have laught to death! In the company I managed IT for (I am the IT manager in my company), I decided to get Dell for all workstations and laptops since I started. Now, except those problematic ultra small workstations, all rest work just fine (24x7 environment). I have never had a single problem with our Dell laptops. Considering Dell entered into laptop market just a very few years ago, they did a remarkable job, I'd say.
Just because you sell IBM, which I admire all the time, you should not underestimate other brand of laptops. It is not fair.
