Any experience with Montessori school?

Hello parents,

Anyone send their kids to Montessori or any experience? Comments, opinions all welcome!

We are struggling whether to send our kid to traditional pre-school or Montessori style one, any feedback is appreciated!

Not all daycare or montessoris are the same. Make sure to choose a good one.

I had a hard time choosing between regular daycare and montessoris too. Personally, I feel that for kids under 2.5, daycares are better. For kids > 2.5, it's really depending on your child's personality, you need to determine if the montessori method suits your child's personality.

Any Montessori schools near Southkeys/Greenboro/Huntclub area? I only know Alexander Montessori School which is located in Brookfield Rd.

I think that's the one close to Southkeys area the most. There is another one located in north Alta Vista area, called Ottawa Montessori School, as well.

Thank you, 西西妈! I heard there is one along the south end of Conroy Rd.. Anybody knows the name of it? Also, I was told that many Montessori schools don't advertise them, but mainly through the mouth of the parents. How can I find more info?

I heard there was one in that area long time ago, will try to dig out the info.
What I did was search with Google. There are even websites set up by Monterssori parents to share experience and infomation.

Ottawa Montessori School was in the news. One of the teacher was accused to abuse kids.

Can u be more specific about the bad things you heard about the Rainbow Montessori school?

I heard from the current staff from Canadian Montessori Academy. She said that her daugther used to go to Rainbow Montessori School. She was not happy with this school, however, she did not tell me the detail....

My daughter is in a daycare that is sponsored by my company and recommended by several of my colleagues. Montessori was our backup if we couldn’t get in any of the daycares that we are waiting for. So I didn't gather enough info to answer your question.
