In winter, 90% of the visitors are seniors. One week of stay is enough. You can spend 1 day in Havana, one night to watch the singing dancing show and all the other days at beach if the weather is good. If the weather is not good, you can only stay in hotel room watching 3 or 4 channels, so bring Game boy if you have kids. Don't go to the the Jeep Safari (it's costy and boring).

Stay at the beach when the weather is good. There will be at least one day of bad weather(cloudy and windy and cold), probably two days for every seven days.
Cuba is a poor country, it doesn't have fun or beautiful sites (except Havana) to go. But cuba is safe and the resort is clean(no polution), that's why lots of seniors go there just to enjoy the sunshine.
We went there in Feb this year, it's not that bad but a little bit boring after staying at the beach almost every day. Several old couples told me that it was their 5th or 7th time visiting Cuba but I don't want to go back again.
We went to Orlando this summer, oh my god, we were so busy and exhausted every day. We have to suffer (too hot and crowded) while having fun. Not again for me.
If you decided to go to Cuba, I still suggest that you go in the winter time. It's a little bit boring not because it's winter time, but because it's poor Cuba(Cuban people are very friendly).
