问:Minto的Upgrade

请问在Minto买房时,哪些Upgrade是必须得让他们给做的?比如把卧室衣橱的门从Sliding Door 改装成Swing Door,还有就是给Fireplace加一个好看一些的边框,有必要给他们做吗?谢谢.

Fireplace upgrade has to be done by builder.

"Sliding Door 改装成Swing Door,还有就是给Fireplace加一个好看一些的边框." Small job, DIY level. It depends on how much they charge you. Minto usually charge more than indepedent contractor.
I would not let minto do these two jobs.
Minto ask so many upgrades, you could post what is upgrade and what they charge you. I believe there is some contractor in here. They may able to help you.

Any other necessary upgrade? Such as hardwoord, ceremic floor or wood cabinet?
The standard carpet is 36 oz, do i need to upgrade?

I just think swing doors might look more elegant than sliding doors. I am afraid the latter will make me feel of living in a cheaply built apartment. By the way, could I ask how much your paid for changing to the swing doors?


Someone told me the standard Minto fireplace only has a ugly screen built in the wall. Will it cause a lot of work if I add a mantel to it later on instead of letting Minto do it? Thanks.

As what I read from the previous postings, it is not necessary to ask your builder to do such kind of work since they might ask for much higher price than those private contractors. Or even you could do it yourself if you like.
