If you live in Ottawa, you can get the marriage license from City of Ottawa. i.e. Province of Ontatio, Canada.

For other provinces, check the government web site of the corresponding province in Canada.

Generally, you need to apply for a marriage license which is valid for 3 month in Ontario. This means you need to get married within 3 month (wedding).You may have a religious marriage or a civil marriage. You can check details in the above link.

You may sometimes need your marriage certificate. You need to apply again since it is not issued to you automatically.
