If you use blender, you can make 2L of soy milk from 250g soy bean.
1. 250g dry soy bean soaked in the water for 4+ hours and it's better to put the container in the fridge.
2. Wash the soaked soy bean then coarse crush them in your blender with 1L water and filter it.
3. Fine crush the mushy soy bean with 1L water and filter it again.
4. Boil the 2L soy bean milk.
Please note the bean/milk ratio is 1:8, you may adjust either way as you like.
If you use soy milk maker, you can make 2L+ of soy milk from 130g soy bean.
You can either use dry bean or soaked bean.
Some people mentioned they put their machine away because the one you have is old ones.
For the new ones ( or at least those soy milk makers from Joyoung ) are very convenient, time saving and easy to clean.
The bean/milk ratio is 1:15+ and the milk is thicker than above.
I use it twice a week since I bought it half a year ago.
BTW, soy bean is good for your health but over eaten is bad.
