i would guess no, cuz i've never seen any model with 6 paralle ports

then~why did you start this post~~

you need direct connection~or~~LAN either wired or wiredless~or you got infrared bluetooth stuff~~

basically~~my printer doesn't work for 6~

just wanna make sure i am rite, cuz i told my stupid supervisor it's impossible, it has to be networked in order to share the printer, he wouldn't believe me

it's possible~~just need some work on the wiring~~the printer can get signal in series if the computers are not sending signal at the same time~~~

1. Using LAN ... that's what everybody know
2. Using something called Parallel Printer Switch Box (if they are in the same room)

3. Using WAN if all the computers are distributed ....
Connect the printer to one PC, use dial-up ($%#@!@@#%./!^#@$%) and let all 6 PCs connect to internet
Write some server code on the PC with printer conncted to open a service, get the ip address for the server, write some client code on other pc to connect to the server, and u r all set
4. No LAN, No KVM Switch, No dial up .......
Can your computer power up? I heard there is network protocal over the power line
5. Or, just take your single printer to each individual PC, connect it to PC whenever there is a print job on that PC!!!! Don't forget to power up your printer before you send the print job

let them save wutever they need to print on a flash drive (they are high school students, right? try to be bossy around them, and they'll listen to u)~~~
and print from the computer that's connected to the printer~~~
and tell ur supervisor, ppl should change according to the situation~~~

dude, don't have a router, just 6 computers and 1 printer, nothing more, had i had a router, i wouldn't be asking here
