A Talk on Chinese Export Porcelain
in Canada

in New Edinburgh. Please enter from the parking lot.
Mr. Whate is a founding member of the Canadian Ceramic
Circle, Ottawa, and a member of the American Ceramic Circle,
New York. Since his retirement from Parks Canada he has continued to work on contract on the restoration of Fortress Louisbourg and with Chinese potters in Jingdehzhen to reproduce porcelains found in Louisbourg. This slide-illustrated talk will also feature items from Mr. Whate’s own collection.
Chinese tea and light refreshments will be served. A charge of $4 each for non-members and $3 for members will be collected to cover the expenses of this event. We hope to see you there.
