铁矿石iron ore，石灰石limestone，焦炭coal（coke)混合制成生铁pig iron.可以继续通过continuous casting制成钢块steel blooms, 钢条steel billets, 钢板steel slabs, 圆钢steel rods, 扁钢steel plates 及钢管steel pipes.也可以通过cupola furnace混合coke和iron制成铸铁cast iron.
