I didn't take the classes from the hospital, but I would think the labour birth class should be more useful. Ask yourself, are you more nervous about the birth and bringing baby home, or are you nervous about the 9-month pregnancy? Even if you don't take the classes, not too worry either, because the hopital staff will tell you exactly what to do, and when to do it (like pushing, breathing, etc...), it's nice to know in advance, but even if you don't, they're there for you!

The useful stuff I learnt from prenatal classes is recognizing labour signs: 1. The show (bleeding); 2. Water breaks; 3. regular contractions; and 4. (forgot this one!) :blowzy:

叶太那里的产前班就是City Of Ottawa为中文社区办的，有时开的是广东话，有时是普通话班。这个因为人数不已定班不是总开，给City of Ottawa Public Health Hotline打电话的时候可以问到这个班的一些情况，但是跟叶太直接通话是获得中文班信息的最直接渠道。
我当时参加了叶太的班，都是建议准爸爸也去上课的，因为课上讲的内容有需要父母都知道的，还有专门给爸爸们的内容……
当然英文班也是一样的内容。对于准父母都很有帮助，尤其准妈妈们，可以看到比自己孕期长的妈妈，知道自己下面会如何，比自己时间短的，告诉她等着瞧吧，更热闹的在后头
和别的爸妈围在一起交流很有趣，能听到很多奇怪的言论，自己的一些错误认识也有机会被纠正，如果有时间，无论中文英文法语的不妨参加一个

I will attend the chinese class on Feb. 2nd. I will be 27 weeks pregnant by that week. Is there anyone in that class as well?

前段时间和负责中文孕妇班的叶太联系，她说现在人不是很多，大概只有4个左右，不能肯定是不是开班，如果人够，她1月会开班。
希望想参加的准妈妈们能一起报名，我们也好一起去上课啊。能上个中文的，总是能更清楚明白点吧，呵呵

You could call 238-1220 ext. 2345 talk to Ms. Zhao. She's the instructor for the Feb. class.
