Yes, she is an ordinary Canadian, but only outside of the campus in leisuretime. At school, students paid for her "service", thus she should perform not merely as a Canadian, rather as a representitive of Carleton. Therefore,she has to be interested in this incident. This is what we call "PROFESSIONALISM".
you want to be honsetly, lets put this way then. As international students, we accept the conditions here as "aliens". However, we,as the subject, accept this statusquo doesnot mean the people that we paid for their "service" can take it for granted. Alienation is one thing, ignoring things that are bounded with your job is another one. Professionalism is what Canada, as a capitalist country, is based on and is constantly branded itself with.
