We can express it in a thousand ways without knowing it,
Yet never be able to define it
Some say:
It's being responsible
It's generosity

It's something that makes us feel warm and fussy inside
It's being able to give and forgive
It's feeling comfortable in silence
But some say:
It's tolerance
It's sacrifice
It's dedication
It's the light that guides us when we're lost
It's seeing no faults in the person you love
It's bringing us milk and cookies everyday at two
It's the kisses they give on your roughest days
It's checking on us every ten seconds when we're sick
And others say:
It's the dark circles under their eyes from worry
It's the laugh lines on their faces from joy
It's tucking our beds in at night
It's the tears on their cheeks when we're hurt
It's the smiles on their faces when we say, “I love you”

It's something that disturbs us
It's something that amuses us
