If you have been frustrated with the parking issue for shopping in 168 during weekdays, this venting is for you too, my friend.
I was aware of the chaotic situation in Heron Gate mall parking lots, but can't complain as people still park their cars properly---I thought that's the least a regular person will do. However, when you get at the parking area of 168 grocery store during the weekday, if you did not feel ashamed of the inconsiderate way of parking for many fellow Chinese, then you probably are quite insensitive and might be doing the same thing. Here list a couple of typical nasty parking patterns made by some people,
1) Parking on the line, or parking cross the dividing line.
2) Parking at the disabled parking spot, while no sign of physical disability can be seen---might be mentally impaired, who knows.
3) Heading on in the drive way no matter how obvious it is that it's other drivers' right of way, having no patience and courtesy----"I can't wait, nobody can move but it's none of my business, I am in your way, sorry, but there is nothing I can do, no matter how stupid it looks"---you back up and turn, another driver jumps in his F***ing car and competes with you with backing up and letting his car standing right in your way, or another anxious driver pushes in and leaves no space for you to turn---this is happening frequently in 168 parking area. If the parking lines blurred, the 168 owner should have done something.
4) leaving without providing a note when having scratched other vehicle---this is not solely about parking.
Being a Chinese, felt very bad about this kind of inconsiderate behavior done by many fellow chinese and hope everybody takes more consideration on little things like this in public. We are educated, decent citizens and we should behave accordingly also.
