求教-父母团聚移民问题 关于邮寄地址，我可不可以留加拿大的地 址 ，这样从Beijing 使馆发出的信件可以直接发给我，Is there anyone who's ever done this in the past? Will Bejing Embassy do that? 谢谢

I don't think you can do that..

You are the sponser, not the applicant(s)..

In addition, your parents will not receive a lot of mails from Canadian Embassy in Beijing during the process anyway...and you can check the status on-line...

In one word, follow the instructions and don't make any un-necessary changes..

Good luck for your parents' applications..It took my parents 31 months to get theirs...

Thanks for your reply and wishes. Can they just point me as representative? By the way, on "Application for permanent residence". 19. identification number. What should I put there? Thanks bunch!

I believe they can "hire" you as their representative after both of you sign the agreement(s)..

I forgot what I put as the identification number in the file(might leave the field empty)..

But for tacking purpose later on, there are at least two numbers you can use, one is their "file number" received from the Embassy, and the other one is the id number coming with your sponsorship application..

One more word about representative..

If you are going to call/contact the Embassy on behalf of your parents in the future, it would wise to be their representative..

I contacted CIC before to check the progress of my mother-in-law's visa extension...they rejected to tell me the result since I was not her representative and thus not entitled to..I guess same rule appies to immigration application as well..

Another question, Did your parents submit orignial hukou or notarized hokou at that time?
