driveway pavement

我家住的是老房子。 driveway 已经很破。 邻居去年做的，花了800元。 今年那家公司的报价时1300， 说是原材料涨价什么的。另一家公司说要rebuild foundation, 报价2000。都很贵呀。

请大家帮忙推荐作driveway 的公司。

Yes. It is called driveway sealer. There is a cheaper one in water base (~$10+/can), applie on the driveway with a roller. I personally perfer the more expensive one in non-water base (~$20/can, "airport grade"), applied on the driveway with a brush, because the later lasts longer (1 year vs 2-3 years). You can buy everything in HomeDepot or Canadian Tire. You can also find a contractor do it for you at cost of $40-$50.

You might still need the new paving at the "lip" though, which is in front of the garage door; otherwise water will trap there and damage the foundation of the house.

Sealant只能补小的裂缝。ＨＤ有整包的Asphalt patch，补大些的裂缝或是坑，可以用那东西。

压实的时候，见人在下面垫块板，用汽车来回压。这主意挺高，可是汽车－－还是显得太轻了，不过瘾

补丁终归是补丁，只能把低下去的地方垫起来。要是沥青路面已经裂成几块，就只好请人重新做了。

My driveway has some cracks. I filled them with cement at first. After it was dry, I then covered them with "Asphalt Driveway Crack Filler" since it can be used only for 6mm thick. Otherwise, it is hard to dry. If it is not dry, it will not work. If you use cement only, cement will crack later. I did this for the gap in front of the garage too. I saw some prorfessional work for the gap which does not seal the gap. If there are cracks, they should be repaired. Otherwise, they get larger and larger. In the end, the driveway needs to be redone. It is expensive.

You have to wait at least one year to seal a new driveway.
